(CNN) - Rebecca Davies, a Professor at Princeton University, smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for almost 20 years. During those 20 years, she tried quitting multiple times, but nothing ever worked. Ironically, Rebecca teaches Nutritional Sciences at Princeton, and for a required research project Rebecca thought it would be perfect to use university funds to help discover a treatment to her nasty habit. According to Rebecca, "the most expensive piece of was actually finding what worked. But the actual solution only cost about $5."
