Professor From Princeton University Discovers How To Quit Smoking For Good!

(CNN) - Rebecca Davies, a Professor at Princeton University, smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for almost 20 years. During those 20 years, she tried quitting multiple times, but nothing ever worked. Ironically, Rebecca teaches Nutritional Sciences at Princeton, and for a required research project Rebecca thought it would be perfect to use university funds to help discover a treatment to her nasty habit. According to Rebecca, "the most expensive piece of was actually finding what worked. But the actual solution only cost about $5."

"I tried everything from behavioral therapy, nicotine replacement therapy, medications, to going completely cold turkey, but nothing ever worked. I became content being a smoker. I'd wake up, have a coffee, and on the doorstep with my best friend, my cigarette, I would think about life and what I was going to do that day. My Dad never smoked a day in his life and died of lung cancer at 54 years of age. So it didn't matter to me if I smoked because I was convinced I was going to die of lung cancer anyways. So I tried to enjoy my life as a smoker. When I was assigned this big research project from the University, I saw it as a perfect opportunity to get a deeper look at the root cause of cigarette smoking and the natural remedies, and that is when I saw Dr. Sanjay Gupta on the news talking about nicotine addiction and the natural healing powers of .  I had nothing to lose, so I thought, why not try it ? It took a few weeks to come back to my old self, but it's the best feeling in the entire world. My urge to smoke is completely gone. I feel healthier, confident, and just feel like I can do anything now!" - Rebecca Davies

Since the study, Rebecca shared with one of her students, Sarah, who had been struggling with low energy and anxiety. To make matters worse, she had chronic pain from a hip injury in 2012 that made it hard to get through the day. Sarah's experience with is just as impressive as Rebecca's.

Sarah is free from smoking thanks to, which also helps alleviate her arthritis and joint pain.

We sat down with Rebecca to ask her more about how she found out about and whether or not that is all that she used to quit smoking for good.

CNN: Tell us, how did you know where to start?

Rebecca: To be honest, I really didn't. I was given a budget for the project by the university, and I spent nearly all of it researching everything under the sun. I looked into other previous research, case studies, and even successful addiction to nicotine recovery stories of others.

CNN: So, how did you find out about ?

Rebecca: It's sort of funny. I am a big fan of Michael Douglas, and while I was looking into stories of people suffering from smoking addiction, I decided to see if I could find out more about how Michael was able curb his cravings. Surprisingly, even with all of the tabloids, it was pretty challenging to find concrete information on exactly how he did it. However, I stumbled upon an episode of the Dr. Sanjay Gupta show where Michael Douglas credits for helping him get rid of his nasty habit for good.

CNN: Was it expensive to get ?

Rebecca: It actually was not very expensive at all, and thankfully so. By the time I had found out about , I had about $13 left in my project budget. Since is a completely natural formula, the supplier doesn't spend a lot to manufacture it. Additionally, they actually provided me with a free 1 month sample and I just paid for shipping! So I got for $5 and was ready to start my study.

CNN: That's impressive! Could you explain how it works?

Rebecca: There isn't much to it, and that is the appeal of it all. Every morning, I took a few drops of felt the effects within 30 minutes. I'm finally free from the usual 'lows' I deal with and I feel better than I ever have before!
